Marianne Design - Christmas card

Hello! An overcast Friday morning here today. I'm on a road trip to pick up Cameron and her best friend from boarding school for the holidays.... two whole weeks.... man heaps off washing to do when we get home. Last day of school terms I do NOT like... we have to bring EVERYTHING home... I still have no idea why the girls cant leave the stuff there... its only two weeks! And girls being girls they have everything including the kitchen sink!

So onto my card... Aren't those birdies cute! The whole card is made up exclusively from Marianne Design product... the snowflakes are using a die on velum. Below is the list of products used.

Take Note Smash Page for Scottie Crafts

Hi, how's your week going? Today I have something a little bit different from me... I'm showing my second (and third) ever page of my smashbook. I love how it has turned out.. very earthy with Take Note collection.

So first I ripped my 12x12 Take Note "Noteworthy" and distressed the edges with Distress Ink  - Vintage Photo.
I then used Take Note Sticker sheet for heading and tab to pull out the hidden journaling

Added a few pieces from Take Note Collectables

Simple and easy. And on a side note... if you haven't been... yes it's worth the trip... but watch the movies first!
Happy crafting

Happy Birthday Mizz Molly.. and news

Our baby fur ball is a year old today. She is spoilt rotten, loved to pieces and rules the roost!!
Molly has such a wonderful placid nature... I couldn't have asked for a better baby

And news.... she's getting a sister! Molly's dad visited Molly's mum... ho hummmm birds and bees.... and hey presto... we hopefully will be getting another puppy mid December...

We also have two Burmese cats... Charlie and Molly chase each other up and down the hall.. he even jumps on her.... she gets so excited .... that she sometimes forgets to keep a healthy distance from old grumpy bum Tazzy (pictured below)...

Scottie Crafts - Weaved Take Note card

Hello, I'm back again!!!. Today The other night I had my music playing and decided to do a weave card using  Kaisercraft collection Take Note. So this post is a little photo heavy, but I really wanted to share the process with you all in case someone is keen to copy my card.

So... first I picked out 3 pages from my 6.5 Take Note Pad. Then cut two of them at 0.5"

Then I glued down one edge and started to weave in the contrasting colour

I then cut from a 12x12 Take Note Memories. I really liked the frame on this one

Then I glued the weave into the middle

Next it just a matter of dressing the card with matching Take Note Collectables, Prima flowers and image.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my card as much as I had fun making it
Happy Crafting

Tanya Leigh Designz

Hello. First of all.. yes I have been a bad blogger... only posting once a week!!! Just to let you know.. I am back.. I was hit by a yuck flu bug with a few infections to boot.... so it has taken me a while to recover... is that a sign of me getting older do you think??
Anyway... today I managed to get a card made for Tanya Leigh... she sent me a DT package last month and I have only just opened it and had a good look.

So the below picture shows you the yummy pins that Tanya makes.... OMGosh I am in love with this white one... it is so right for a Christmas card with just the right amount of bling! Also you can see the cute wood veneer branch that she also stocks

The roman clock and "No peeking till..." are also in Tanya's collection of bits and pieces... she has heaps of these with all sorts of sayings on them... very handy!!

So that's it for today. It was nice to finally get back into my craft room... sit and smell my copics, and look at my neglected stash!!!!
Hope you have all had a great weekend

Scottie Crafts - Take Note Bookmark

Hello, hope your week is going well for you so far. Today I have a bookmark made from Kaisercraft collection Take Note. My daughter is really getting into reading books, so I thought I would surprise her with this.

I used Kaiser cardstock as my base, found a neat quote that happened to be the right shape from a 12x12 patterned Take Note paper and cut it out. I then added a paper doily and Take Note collectables, topped off with a Saturated Canary image I coloured in with copics.  On the top I wanted to add some weights.. so I threaded some American Crafts ribbon threw and added two metal owls to the ends.

Scottie Crafts - Take Note

Hello!!! Today I have a card made from the fantastic new Kaisercraft collection Take Note. I used Kaiser cardstock as my base, added the Take Note paper and mixed in a few Take Note Collectables to complete the card. Off to the side I doubled some American Crafts ribbon that matched the colours, and of course, what card would be complete without some yummy Prima flowers Mini Sachet Lakeside which have beautiful earthy tones and crystals

I loved colouring this colour to match the paper. I little tip... if I think an image is "too white" I like to do faux stitching around the edge. It seems to complete the card, as I do mainly cards, you will see it is something I do often every week.

I hope I have inspired you all, happy crafting!
